A deck is the one addition people use every single warm evening, and the one most often built as an afterthought — a rectangle bolted to the back wall at whatever height the door happened to be.

Where does the sun land at six o'clock. Does the stair run want to face the yard or the driveway. Getting those answers first is what separates a deck that gets used from a deck that gets walked across.
What we build

- Railings, spindles, posts and caps.
- Ground-level platforms and pads where a raised deck is not the right answer.

Staining and refinishing
Ohio is hard on exterior wood. Freeze, thaw, sun, then a wet spring. An unfinished or badly finished deck greys, cups and splinters, and once boards start to cup the fix stops being cosmetic.
Staining is not just colour. We clean the surface, let the wood dry properly, and then apply the finish — because stain applied to a damp or dirty deck sits on top of the problem instead of soaking in. If your existing deck is structurally sound but looks tired, refinishing it is a fraction of the cost of replacing it and we will always tell you which one you are looking at.
Colour is a choice, and it is yours
The decks in our gallery are finished in strong reds and warm tones because that is what those clients wanted. Stain comes in everything from a clear coat that just shows the grain through to solid colour that behaves more like paint. We will bring samples and put them on your actual boards, in your actual light, before anything gets committed.
