Kitchen remodeling in Hillsboro, OH and across Greater Cincinnati

Cabinets, counters, backsplash, lighting and the plumbing behind all of it — planned, ordered and installed by one crew that stays on your job until it is finished.

The room the rest of the house is organised around

A kitchen is the one room that has to work before it can look good. It is where the morning happens, where homework lands, where everyone ends up at a party regardless of how much space you made in the living room. When the layout fights you, you feel it three times a day.

Two Women Contractors has been remodeling kitchens for homeowners in Hillsboro, Highland County and across Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky for 27 years. We are woman and family-owned, we are bonded and insured, and the same small crew that starts your kitchen is the crew that finishes it.

What a kitchen remodel with us covers

Most kitchens need more than one trade. Rather than hand you off, we keep the work in-house so nobody is waiting on anybody else:

  • Cabinets — new, refaced, or stripped back and refinished. Painting existing boxes is often the single biggest change for the smallest budget.
  • Countertops in granite, quartz and stone, templated and set.
  • Tile — backsplash, floor, and the trickier stone and mosaic work.
  • Layout changes, including opening a wall between the kitchen and the next room.
  • Lighting: pendants, recessed cans, under-cabinet and the switching to run it.
  • Plumbing for sinks, faucets, dishwashers and ice makers.
  • Flooring, and the transitions where the new floor meets the old.

Choosing materials is the fun part, and we do it with you

Jennifer, who owns the company, goes to the tile shop with clients. That is not a sales line — one of our reviewers wrote that picking out the tile with her was a lot of fun. It also saves money, because deciding on a slab and a backsplash together in a showroom is far cheaper than deciding after the cabinets are hung.

She will also tell you when something is wrong for the room. A material that photographs beautifully can be a mistake over a floor you already own, and it is better to hear that in the showroom than on install day.

Refinishing versus replacing

If your cabinet boxes are sound, refinishing them is worth a serious look before you price out replacements. Every door comes off, gets sanded, primed and sprayed, and goes back on with new hardware. The kitchen in our gallery that went from honey oak to sprayed white with black pulls is the same room, same camera position — only the finish changed.

If the boxes are failing, or the layout is the real problem, replacing is the honest answer and we will say so.
