Outdoor living construction in Cincinnati, OH and Hillsboro

Covered decks, stone fireplaces, built-in bars and the paths between them — the work that turns a yard you look at into rooms you use.

An outdoor room is still a room

The difference between a patio and an outdoor living space is whether there is a reason to stay out there after the sun goes down and the temperature drops. Shelter, a heat source, somewhere to put a drink, and light. Get those four and the space earns its cost every summer and most of the autumn.

We build outdoor living spaces for clients across Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Hillsboro, Dayton and the surrounding counties.

What we build outside

  • Covered decks and roofed outdoor rooms, including tongue-and-groove ceilings.
  • Stone fireplaces and full-height stone surrounds.
  • Built-in bars and serving counters in stone and timber.
  • Stone veneer on columns, walls and knee walls.
  • Composite and timber decking, stairs and railings.
  • Flagstone paths, steppers and gravel walks.
  • Exterior lighting and power for the space.

The one in our gallery

There is a photograph of a covered outdoor space of ours mid-build: a full-height fieldstone fireplace surround with a reclaimed-wood panel set into it, a curved stone bar with its timber counter frame still exposed, a pine tongue-and-groove ceiling overhead and composite decking underfoot. The wiring is still loose in the frame.

We show it unfinished on purpose. That curve in the bar is hand-laid stone, and the photograph makes it obvious in a way the finished shot never could.

Start with how you want to use it

Entertaining twenty people needs a different shape from two chairs and a fire. Tell us which one you are building for and roughly where the space is, and we will come out and look at the ground, the drainage and the way the house sits on it.
